The Light



Light is a powerful metaphor - where there is light there is no darkness, the two cant co-exist in the same space.

When you light a match or turn a light on in a dark room, you illuminate the objects - the light bounces off the surfaces to reveal the object - darkness has gone!

Yeshua - Light of the world came into the earth to expel the darkness. The darkness has to flee! This metaphor extends right up to Yeshua on the cross.

John the Baptist was not the light - John came to testify regarding the true light that gives light to every man was coming - Yeshua

There are many lights you can follow but Yeshua is the one true light.

    He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world

    This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evilhates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.
